Boy Scouts of America Prepared for Life

Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 402

This is the website for Troop 402 in White Bear Lake, MN.  We are part of the Many Waters District within the Northern Star Council.

Our Scoutmaster is Gray Seever. He was a Scout in his younger years, became a Cubmaster in 2005 with Pack 402, Committee Member, Assistant Scoutmaster, and in 2016 he became our Scoutmaster.

The 14+ scouts on our roster stay busy with many outings such as camping, hiking, biking, scuba diving, canoeing, winter camping, swimming, and bowling.  The troop activities and schedule are determined by the Scouts elected to the Patrol Leadership Council.  Our most notable and annual outings are:

  • Tomahawk Scout Camp – a one week camp during the last week in July.
  • Electronic Campout – a weekend long campout with non-stop video gaming!
  • Mother’s Day Campout – a weekend spring outing at Fred C Anderson where Moms are invited to attend a Saturday evening meal planned, prepared and cooked by the Scouts.
  • Boundary Waters Canoe Area trip.  We typically spend 4 days in late June camping in the BWCA.
  • Scuba Diving.  We have a Dive Master and Scouts who have dove the Mines up in Brainerd and spent one week at Seabase in Florida.
